Knee, Ross & Silverman, LLP has re-configured for 2010. Howard Knee has moved to Blank Rome, LLP, a full-service law firm based out of Philadelphia, where he will head up the labor/employment group of the Los Angeles office. Melanie Ross and Lora Silverman have formed Ross & Silverman, LLP where they will continue their management-side employment law practice in a boutique firm setting.

Why are we doing this?

Howard has spent 30 years in a specialized labor/employment law practice environment. From time to time, he explored merging his practice with a full-service firm but never found the right fit. Blank Rome offered a unique opportunity to build a labor group in a new office of a growing national firm. Howard embarks on this career adventure with enthusiasm for the prospect of integrating his practice into a multi-disciplinary environment where he can provide employment law transactional and litigation services as part of a full-service team. Mike Ludwig, Colleen Carolan, Jim Newman, and Mary Pierce have joined Howard.

Melanie and Lora began their careers in the big firm environment and valued the opportunity sixteen years ago to join the focused labor/employment law practice of the firm that became Knee, Ross & Silverman, LLP. They have enjoyed their ability to serve a wide range of clients, providing “big firm” quality in a personalized, small firm setting. They will continue to offer a full range of employment law counseling, transactional, compliance and litigation services on behalf of employers.
